at BEAVER CREEK
While you earn CME, your kids will be learning outdoor skills.
Based on last year's meeting survey feedback, the Practical Symposium is adding a morning kids camp. This will allow you to attend the morning lectures all while enjoying a fabulous end of summer family vacation.
The Kids Camp will be supervised by Beaver Creek counselors, select older kids (certified sitters) and James Allred, MD. In the past, Dr. Allred has led the CME hike and is in the process of developing a kids' outdoor program. To take full advantage of the kids camp, the desired age range is approximately 5-12.
Hiking at the base of the mountain
Identification of bugs, bugs, and more bugs
Learning the native plants and tree of Colorado
Each session ends with a parent/kid(s) session that explains what Mom and/or Dad does at work
Smores and stars (weather dependent)
Register for Kids Camp
We are still in the planning process for the 2020 Practical Symposium Kids Camp and at this time we have not established pricing. Once we have a better idea of the number of counselors and supplies needed, then this will allow us to set a per kid price. Similar to the CME Hike, we plan is to pass through actual cost vs. trying to make money on this activity.
NOTE: When registering for the Practical Symposium, check the Kids Camp option and we will provide updates as these plans come into clarity.
